PURPOSE: An organic light emitting display apparatus and a manufacturing method thereof are provided to accurately form a light emission region by regularly maintaining the thickness of a pixel defined layer on a boundary of a light emitting unit. CONSTITUTION: A planarization film covers a plurality of thin film transistors which is formed on a substrate. A pixel electrode(240) comprises a light emitting unit(241) and an non light emitting part(242). A plurality of dummy via holes(230) is arranged to be separated from a via hole(220). A pixel defined layer(250) is formed on the planarization film. An organic layer is formed on the light emitting unit. An opposing electrode is formed on the organic layer.
