The invention relates to antagonists of serotonin 5-HTreceptors / substituted 2-alkylsulfonyl-3-arylsul-fonyl-cycloalcano[e and d] pyrazolo[1, 5-a]pyrimidmes, to novel medicinal principles and pharmaceutical compositions which contain the medicinal principles in the form of the above-mentioned compounds, to novel medicinal agents and to a method for treating and preventing the development of CNS diseases in human beings and warm-blood animals, the pathogenesis of which is depends on 5-HTreceptors. In general formulas (1) and (2): Ris a hydrogen atom or C-Calkyl; Ris C-Calkyl; Ris a hydrogen atom, one or two optionally the same halogen atoms, C-Calkyl and optionally alkyl-substituted hydroxyl; and n is an integer 1, 2 or 3.
