PURPOSE: A girder reinforcement method using a prestressed steel plate is provided to reduce construction time without damaging a girder by installing a steel plate on the bottom of the girder. CONSTITUTION: A girder reinforcement method using a prestressed steel plate is as follows: Tension worktables(14) are installed to be located under a neutral axis of a girder(11). A tendon(15) is installed between the tension worktables. The tendon is tensioned to generate an upward bending deflection in the girder, and a steel plate(13) is coupled to the bottom surface of the girder. The tensile force applied to the tendon is released to apply tensile stress to the steel plate and leave a specific amount of bending deflection in the girder. The tension worktables and tendon are removed. |
