<p>PURPOSE: A seal pot device for a gas pipe is provided to prevent safety accidents and environmental accidents due to gas leakage by automatically controlling the level of condensate in a seal pot to smoothly discharge the condensate. CONSTITUTION: A seal pot device for a gas pipe comprises a seal pot(100), a water collecting tank(200), a condensate level detecting unit(300), a gas detecting unit(400), a supplementary water feeding pipe(500), and a control unit(600). The seal pot is arranged under a gas pipe(700) to insert a gas drain pipe(710) of the gas pipe so that condensate can flow into the gas pipe. The water collecting tank is connected at the top of the seal pot through an overflow pipe(110). The condensate level detecting unit is installed in the overflow pipe to detect the proper level of the condensate in the overflow pipe. The gas detecting unit is installed in the overflow pipe to detect gas jetting from the seal pot. The supplementary water feeding pipe feeds supplementary water to the gas drain pipe. The control unit selectively opens and closes the overflow pipe and the supplementary water feeding pipe.</p> |
