PURPOSE: An IEC(International Electro-technical Commission) 61850 based client suitability examination method is provided to verify the mutual suitability of a communication service by receiving a result value from a relay. CONSTITUTION: A suitability examination apparatus(100) connects to one or more relays(200-1~200-3) and a network. The suitability examination apparatus selects the relays for examining the suitability. The suitability examination apparatus requests a control service for the selected repeated connected to the network. The suitability examination apparatus receives an execution result for the control service from the relay. The suitability examination apparatus determines the suitability based on the result value received from the relay.
