<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a developer storage container with a configuration which can surely prevent leakage of toner from the developer storage container when it is replaced in an attachment/detachment operation at a low cost. <P>SOLUTION: A developer storage container which is detachably installed on an image forming apparatus body comprises: a cap part 34Y including a toner discharge port W for discharging toner in the vertical direction in the outside of the container; and a shutter 34d which is retained by the cap part 34Y and is capable of opening and closing the toner discharge port W by moving along the external periphery of the cap part 34Y. The shutter 34d is provided with a seal member 36 composed of a flexible material capable of flexibly deforming, on its surface opposed to the toner discharge port W. When the shutter 34d moves in the direction of closing the toner discharge port W, it comes into tight contact with the periphery of the toner discharge port W because its front end in the moving direction is curled up towards the toner discharge port W. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
