PURPOSE: A detection reagent and a detection kit of nitrate nitrogen concentration are provided to implement detection procedures without the pH value adjustment of a specimen. CONSTITUTION: A detection reagent of nitrate nitrogen concentration includes one or more of a phosphoric acid solution or a dimethyl phenol solution. The phosphoric acid solution is prepared by mixing 200-400 parts by weight of phosphoric acid and 400-800 parts by weight of sulfuric acid with 100 parts by weight of distilled water. The dimethyl phenol solution is prepared by mixing 0.5-4 parts by weight of and 15-35 parts by weight of isopropanol with 100 parts by weight of distilled water. A detection kit of nitrate nitrogen concentration includes the reagent.
