<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a laser welding apparatus and a laser welding method which can realize welding without lowering a bonding strength even when a sheet space is large. <P>SOLUTION: In a laser welding apparatus 10, which oscillates laser beams from a laser oscillator 11, converges the laser beams by a condenser lens 14 and applies them to an upper sheet 101 and a lower sheet 102 stacked on top of each other to weld the upper sheet 101 and the lower sheet 102 to each other, laser beams are applied to the upper sheet 101 and the lower sheet 102 to form a melt pool Y in the upper sheet 101 and the lower sheet 102 stacked on top of each other, and laser beams are applied to an outer edge E of the melt pool Y to melt the outer edge E and to weld the upper sheet 101 and the lower sheet 102 to each other. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
