<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an apparatus capable of associating an object region detected based on an image with a focal position. <P>SOLUTION: A camera 100 comprises: image generation means 130 that photoelectrically converts an object image formed by an imaging optical system 101 to generate an image; and face detecting circuit 121 that detects a plurality of object regions on the basis of the image generated by the image generation means 130.
