<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a glass substrate for a display which can be made thin and lightweight, have high mechanical strength and transparency and can be produced in a short time, a method for producing the same, and a display using the same. <P>SOLUTION: A compressive stress layer with a depth of 50 μm is formed by chemical reinforcing treatment on a the surface the glass substrate formed of a glass material containing 40 to 70 wt.% of SiO<SB POS="POST">2</SB>, 1 to 20 wt.% of Al<SB POS="POST">2</SB>O<SB POS="POST">3</SB>, 0 to 20 wt.% of Na<SB POS="POST">2</SB>O, 0 to 15 wt.% of Li<SB POS="POST">2</SB>O, 1 to 9 wt.% of ZrO<SB POS="POST">2</SB>, the total content of Li<SB POS="POST">2</SB>O and Na<SB POS="POST">2</SB>O being 3 to 20 wt.%. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
