A hybrid vehicle (5) presented as a representative example of electric vehicles comprises: a battery device (10) that can be charged and discharged; an electric motor (MG2) configured so as to receive power supply from the battery device (10) and generate a vehicle driving force; an internal-combustion engine (18) serving as a driving force source; and another electric motor (MG1) configured so as to generate charging power for the battery device (10) by generating power by using the output of the internal-combustion engine (18). When the electric motor (MG1) cannot operate normally, a control device (100) allows the electric vehicle to perform evacuation driving by driving using only the electric motor (MG2). When the evacuation driving is performed, the control device (100) calculates remaining drivable distance in the evacuation driving on the basis of at least the state of charge of the battery device (10) and the vehicle speed.
