The invention relates to a method for manufacturing a current collector (2) for a supercapacitor (3), said method comprising a phase for processing the surface of an aluminium foil (20), which phase consists in that: the aluminium foil (20) is placed in a vacuum chamber (4); a native oxide film is removed; and a current-conducting coating (21) is applied to the aluminium foil (20), said current-conducting coating comprising an outer layer (210) consisting of carbon. According to the invention, the step of applying the current-conducting coating (21) comprises a stage of sputtering a powder mix of carbon and aluminium onto the aluminium foil (20). The invention also relates to a current collector (2) manufactured using the above manufacturing method (1).
