<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a battery housing case and a battery housing body, which can efficiently house a battery and can inexpensively be mass-produced. <P>SOLUTION: The housing body 1 is constituted so that battery groups 5 each of which has a plurality of batteries 3 bound together are stored in a housing case 2 in a rectangular parallelepiped shape in a state where the battery groups are vertically and horizontally arranged in a matrix. The housing case 2 includes: a rectangular base plate 10; a first intermediate plate 20; a top plate 30; a second intermediate plate 40, and the like, and the case is formed by folding one corrugated board plate. In the housing case 2 after assembly, the second intermediate plate 40 exists by leaving a gap above the base plate 10, the first intermediate plate 20 is laminated just above the second intermediate plate 40, and the top plate 30 exists by leaving a gap above the first intermediate plate 20.
