摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rotor without an end plate by suppressing peeling of laminated core thin plates in a rotating electric machine. <P>SOLUTION: A rotor core 30 of a rotating electric machine is formed by laminating magnetic steel sheets 32 in the axial direction. The rotor core 30 has the laminate thickness thicker than that of a stator core 20, and protrudes at an axial end thereof by an end protrusion length &Delta;L. The end protrusion length &Delta;L is set, such that peeling force 42 acting in a direction in which an endmost magnetic steel sheet 38 at the axial end and its adjacent magnetic steel sheet 32 are peeled from each other is balanced with pressing force 50 acting in a direction in which the endmost magnetic steel sheet 38 at the axial end is attracted toward the stator core 20.
