<p>Provided is an active silencer capable of reducing road noise reliably while having reduced cost and size by means other than setting vibration exciters on a floor panel and a plate-shaped interior part. A reference signal detector is provided on a knuckle, and a vibration exciter is provided on a tire house or a suspension member. An error signal detector detects the vibration of the tire house or the vibration of the suspension member as an error signal, or detects the sound in the vehicle cabin as the error signal. A controller controls the vibration exciter on the basis of the reference signal and the error signal, such that the error signal is reduced.</p>
