<p>Disclosed in the present invention are a network startup method and system for diskless devices based on Peer to Peer (P2P). The method comprises: during the startup process, a diskless device in a network sends version request broadcasting messages to other devices in the network; at least one device in the network responds to the version request broadcasting messages and sends a version request response message to the diskless device; according to the version request response message, the diskless device obtains the version file from the responding device and performs startup using the version file. By adopting the technology of P2P, the present invention enables network startup not to depend on one or several devices any more, averages the resource utilization rate, reduces the pressure of specific network routing, enhances the reliability of devices, decreases the producing cost of devices and improves the startup speed of devices.</p> |
