<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a matrix for forming a minute structure which enables not only a minute uneven structure with a groove part not more than 100 nm wide but also a minute uneven structure with a groove part comparatively wider (preferably 100 to 10,000 nm) to be formed in the surface of a mold. <P>SOLUTION: This matrix for forming the minute structure is configured to include a laminate with not less than two kinds of resin layers, each being formed of not less than two kinds of resin. In addition, the matrix includes an uneven structure with the groove part, in the outer surface which is almost in parallel with the direction in which the resin layer is laminated among the outer surfaces of the laminate. Besides, the bottom surface of the groove part includes at least a part of the edge surface of one kind of the resin layer (A) of the not less than two kinds of the resin layers.
