<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a honeycomb filter in which a raw material solution of a catalyst-containing layer is hardly left on an end face when dipping it into the raw material solution of the catalyst-containing layer and pulled up and which can prevent an opening of a flow channel in a lower end surface from being narrowed. <P>SOLUTION: A honeycomb filter 100 is provided with: columnar porous partitions 112 that form a plurality of flow channels 110 that extend in the Z-axis direction; and a plurality of sealing parts 114 that seal one end of some of the plurality of flow channels 110 and the other end of the remainder of the plurality of flow channels. The partitions 112 and the sealing parts 114 comprise ceramic. At least one end surface 112e of the partitions 112 in the Z-axis direction: forms a curved surface in such a manner that, toward the center 112ec from the outer periphery 112ep, the amount of protrusion increases to the outside in the Z-axis direction, and the inclination decreases relative to the X-Y plane, which is orthogonal to the Z-axis; or forms a curved surface in such a manner that, toward the center from the outer periphery, the amount of indentation increases toward the inside in the axis direction, and the inclination decreases relative to the plane that is orthogonal to the axis. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
