<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the input error of a destination number in a facsimile apparatus. <P>SOLUTION: A facsimile apparatus comprises history information generation means 202, history display means 204 and instruction acquisition means 206. The history information generation means 202 generates a transmission history and stores it in an HDD 28. The transmission history contains opposite-side information indicating destination numbers and transmission destinations of document transmitting operations performed in the past and transmission result information indicating transmission results. When a destination number is inputted, under the condition where a transmission history relating to the same destination number as the inputted destination number is stored in the HDD 28, the history display means 204 displays the opposite-side information and the transmission result information contained in the transmission history.
