<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve a problem associated with failure of a driver-IC of a display unit, the problem of a video assigned to the failed driver-IC completely disappearing. <P>SOLUTION: When a driver-IC 41 fails, a video controller 2 performs a process of reducing display size of the display zone of a video to transmit the resultant to a control unit 3 so that the control unit 3 generates turn-on data for displaying with no added offset by bypassing the failed driver-IC for video data that is displayed in a reduced size to thereby transmit the generated data to a display unit 4 in a still image mode. While in a dynamic image mode, the video controller 2 transmits the same normal-display video data as in the case of the driver-IC in no failure to the control unit 3 so that the control unit 3 generates turn-on data for displaying with an added offset by bypassing the failed driver-IC for video data that is displayed in a normal size to thereby transmit the generated data to the display unit 4. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
