<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rubber composition for a tire having excellent processability and improving low fuel cost and wet grip performances; and to provide a pneumatic tire using the composition. <P>SOLUTION: This rubber composition for a tire includes a rubber component, silica and a compound expressed by formula (I), wherein the content of modified diene rubber having an interaction with silica is 10-100 mass% in the rubber component of 100 mass%; and the content of silica is 10-150 pts.mass based on 100 pts.mass of the rubber component. In formula (I), R<SP POS="POST">1</SP>represents a hydrogen atom, branched or non-branched 1-3C alkyl, branched or non-branched 2-30C alkenyl, branched or non-branched 6-30C aryl or hydroxy group; and R<SP POS="POST">2</SP>and R<SP POS="POST">3</SP>may be a group of formula (II), wherein p is an integer of 0-10, and q is an integer of 0-8. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
