<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing an iron-based layered double hydroxide capable of producing an iron-based layered double hydroxide in a short time without requiring addition of alkali or heating. <P>SOLUTION: The method includes a filling step of filling a ball mill with a raw material aqueous solution including at least one kind of metal compound selected from the group consisting of a hydroxide of a divalent metal or trivalent metal, an oxide, a salt, and a mixture thereof and iron-made medium balls and a milling processing step of milling treating the raw material aqueous solution by using the ball mill to obtain an iron-based layered double hydroxide represented by chemical formula (1): [M<SP POS="POST">2+</SP><SB POS="POST">1-x</SB>M<SP POS="POST">3+</SP><SB POS="POST">x</SB>(OH)<SB POS="POST">2</SB>]<SP POS="POST">x</SP>+[A<SP POS="POST">n-</SP><SB POS="POST">x/n</SB>.<SB POS="POST">y</SB>H<SB POS="POST">2</SB>O]<SP POS="POST">x</SP>wherein, part of M<SP POS="POST">2+</SP>and/or M<SP POS="POST">3+</SP>is a Fe ion. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
