<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a series multiplex power conversion device capable of continuing power conversion while performing overcurrent protection. <P>SOLUTION: A series multiplex power conversion device 1 includes a U phase, a V phase, and a W phase constituted by power conversion cells 21a-21c, 21d-21f, and 21g-21i connected in a plurality of series stages. The power conversion cells 21a-21i each have a current detection part which detects a current.
