<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an apparatus control method and radio communication device capable of mute operation of a sound source apparatus before starting a voice call. <P>SOLUTION: There are provided an apparatus control method and radio control device capable of muting a sound source before starting a call by transmitting a mute signal to a sound source apparatus and transmitting an incoming call signal to a mobile phone of a user within a range communicable with a small-sized radio base station 301.
