<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vibration suppression device that can obtain stable energy absorption performance, shorten a working time and prevent the textural alteration of a suppression member. <P>SOLUTION: The vibration suppression device 1 including a suppression member 10 made of flat plates, is disposed between two structures 70a, 70b so as to absorb vibration energy that is transmitted from one structure 70b to the other structure 70a by shear deformation of the suppression member 10 and suppress vibrations of the other structure 70a. Moreover, the vibration suppression device 1 includes a pair of restriction members 20 that are arranged on front and reverse surfaces of the suppression member 10 to be held by a flat surface, and fastening members 30 that fastens and fixes the pair of restriction members 20 to be contacted with the suppression member 10. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
