<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To excellently secure responsiveness of switching a working angle of a valve to a small working angle state from a large working angle state, when achieving the variable speed cam function by using a configuration for driving a driving camshaft by torque of a crankshaft, in a variable valve gear of an internal combustion engine. <P>SOLUTION: This variable valve gear includes a guide member 36 having a raceway surface 36a1 formed so as to cover the driving camshaft 12, and a link mechanism 35 for changing a rotation angle of a driven cam lobe 18a relative to the driving camshaft 12 in response to a positional change of a control roller 32 for rolling on the raceway surface 36a1, and includes a return spring 44 for energizing the guide member 36 and an actuator 46 for moving the guide member 36 in the energizing direction of the guide member 36 and the reverse direction by the return spring 44. The variable valve gear is configured so that a relative rotating speed of the driven cam lobe 18a relative to the driving camshaft 12 becomes high in a lift period of the valve, when the guide member 36 moves in the energizing direction. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
