<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress deterioration of image quality of a captured image. <P>SOLUTION: An imaging apparatus comprises: a pixel array including pixels each having a photoelectric conversion portion generating and accumulating a signal charge in response to incident light, the pixels arranged in a two-dimensional matrix; and a vertical scan circuit that resets the photoelectric conversion portion for each selected row and reads a signal of the pixel for each selected row. During a reading period where reading is performed, the vertical scan circuit resets the photoelectric conversion portion in any row where the reading is finished depending on a change of the number of rows where the photoelectric conversion portion before exposure is reset so that the number of rows where the photoelectric conversion portion is reset becomes constant in a reading period of each row. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
