<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To certainly obtain the movement direction of a human body or a pet, and to certainly obtain the longitudinal direction of a movement area. <P>SOLUTION: The floor surface in a house is photographed, a photographing device 1 is installed at a position where the photographing direction becomes perpendicular to the floor surface, a change area of an image photographed with the photographing device 1 is analyzed to acquire the moving direction of a moving object, and a human body determination device 2 determines that a human body moves when the acquired movement direction does not match the longitudinal direction of the change area. Thus, since the floor surface in the house is photographed from right above with the photographing device 1 which is used for detecting the human body, the human body or the pet no longer approaches or goes away from the photographing device 1 when the human body or the pet moves, the movement direction of the human body or the pet is certainly obtained, and the longitudinal direction of the movement area is certainly obtained.
