<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technology for appropriately setting sensitivity according to use of a sensor without depending on installation environment and a detection object of a device. <P>SOLUTION: In an ATM 1 including a user sensor 2 which detects a detection object on the basis of reception of light emitted from a light emitting element 11 at a light receiving element 12, an object detection part 31 determines whether or not the user sensor 2 detects the detection object, and notifies a determination result. First setting sensitivity of the user sensor 2 is determined by sensitivity when the user sensor 2 switches from a non-detection state to a detection state of the detection object when the sensitivity of the user sensor 2 is gradually raised, and second setting sensitivity of the user sensor 2 determined by sensitivity when the user sensor 2 switches from the detection state to the non-detection state of the detection object when the sensitivity of the user sensor 2 is gradually reduced, on the basis of the detection result of the object detection part 31. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
