CHARACTER INPUT SYSTEM AND OPERATION METHOD THEREOF

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a character input system which can be easily put into a mode allowing character input and facilitates character input.

SOLUTION: An input device 1 can be set into a character input mode in which buttons for character input can be visually recognized and a non-character input mode in which buttons that are invisible in the character input mode become visually recognizable, in accordance with movement of a portion of the input device 1. An input unit 11 detects switching between the two states. A transmission unit 12 transmits a mode signal indicating the state after switching, to a control device 2 via a reception unit 3. A control unit 22 of the control device 2 reads a character input program from a storage unit 21 and executes it in the case of the mode signal indicating the character input mode, and terminates the character input program being executed in the case of the mode signal indicating the non-character input mode.
