<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technique to shorten the rise time of a light-emitting device. <P>SOLUTION: A drive circuit causes a light-emitting device to emit in response to a driving signal. The drive circuit comprises a first current supply circuit that starts supplying a driving current to the light-emitting device in response to the driving signal and a second current supply circuit that starts supplying an auxiliary current to the light-emitting device in response to the driving signal. The second current supply circuit detects that the voltage applied to the light-emitting device reaches the threshold voltage, and then stops supplying the auxiliary current. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
