The invention relates to an electric motor (1) with a motor housing (8) in which a rotor shaft (2) is mounted via a radial ball bearing with a bearing outer race (16) and a bearing inner race (14) and via a further rolling contact bearing (3), wherein a sensor wheel (6) of a position-determining unit (4), such as a rotary encoder (5), is attached to the rotor shaft (2), and a counterpart (7) of the position-determining unit (4) is attached to the motor housing (8), wherein the bearing inner race (14) is in contact with the sensor wheel (6) via a spacer component (12), such as a sleeve (13). The invention also relates to a motor vehicle with such an electric motor.
