The system has electronic control module (5730) which is coupled with asset (5700) and telematics device (5720). The electronic control module is configured to initiate acquisition of sample of fluid of asset, and microfluidic analysis of sample is accomplished by electronic control module in response to occurrence of analysis trigger comprised with operating characteristic of asset. An asset management system is configured to wirelessly receive results of microfluidic analysis transmitted from telematics device, that is located remotely from asset and device.
