<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical pointing device for achieving high accuracy and low costs by improving assemblability, and for improving light shielding performance and electronic equipment having the optical pointing device. <P>SOLUTION: An optical pointing device 1A is configured such that a contact surface 31 with which an object 2 is brought into contact and a lens 33 for image formation for guiding the rays of light to be guided to an imaging element 13 are integrally formed in an optical cover 30. A light source 12 and the imaging element 13 are arranged at the opposite side of the contact surface 31 of the optical cover 30. A light shielding cover 20 is formed with: an aperture 21 which acts as a diaphragm for the rays of light from the lens 33 for image formation to the imaging element 13; a light shielding cover first protrusion 20e which shields incident rays of light from the light source 12 to the imaging element 13 among stray rays of light; and a light shielding cover skirt section 22 which shields the incident rays of light from the outside of the optical cover 30 to the imaging element 13 among the stray rays of light. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
