<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical module capable of obtaining a satisfactory frequency response characteristic. <P>SOLUTION: A lead pin 1 penetrates through a metal stem 2 and is electrically insulated from the metal stem 2. A field absorption type light modulation element 5 is provided on the metal stem 2 and connected to one end of the lead pin 1. A flexible substrate 10 includes signal lines 12 and 13. One end of the signal line 12 is connected to the other end of the lead pin 1. The other end of the signal line 12 is connected to one end of the signal line 13. A penetrating part 1a of the lead pin 1 penetrating through the metal stem 2 and the signal line 13 respectively have a smaller impedance than that of the signal line 12. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
