Disclosed in the present invention are a mobile terminal and method for realizing a remote conference based on the mobile terminal. The method comprises the following steps: a first mobile terminal sends conference data to one or more second mobile terminal; the first mobile terminal and the second mobile terminal display the conference data during a voice conference, and the first mobile terminal is the conference initiation mobile terminal and the second mobile terminal is the conference participation mobile terminal. The above mobile terminal and method for realizing remote conference based on the mobile terminal can support remote conference participation anytime, anywhere and can share visual conference data without the aid of cameras.
