By means of proximity detection the information terminal device detects, as pen inputs, an electroconductive unit (101) that is formed with an electroconductive material and is at a fixed distance from a touch panel (201). A stylus (103) is capable of specifying the point P1 (x1, y1, z1) at the tip of the electroconductive unit (101) as three-dimensional coordinates on the touch panel (201).
