The invention relates to a frequency conversion mixer with adjustable gain which finds application in telecommunication systems and is used both for increasing and for decreasing the frequency in integrated emitters and receivers, respectively. The frequency conversion mixer with adjustable gain essentially covers all the operation frequency range from low frequency up to ultrahigh frequencies, has four transistor switches (5, 6, 7, 8) for frequency conversion, interconnected in doubly balanced circuitry and connected between them pair-wise on one of their terminals- it also has two current input terminals (1, 2) which are used for supplying the telecommunication signal as well as the bias current of the transistors and two inputs (3, 4) on which the signal of a local oscillator is applied. The frequency mixing signal is supplied to four transistors (13, 14, 15, 16) which have two common nodes (9, 10) with the transistor switches which are connected pairwise (13, 15) and (14, 16) and determine the gain by means of two control terminals (11, 12). One pair (13, 15) leads the frequency mixing signal to two output terminals (18, 19) on which the load is connected by means of which the necessary supply voltage is provided. |
