PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a new nitrogen monoxide production inhibitor and an anti-inflammatory agent using the same.

SOLUTION: Technical features of this invention are as follows: (1) an anti-inflammatory agent including an extract of cherry as the effective ingredient; (2) a nitrogen monoxide production inhibitor including an extract of cherry as the effective ingredient; (3) an agent of (1) or (2) using an extract of cherry blossoms as the cherry; and (4) a nitrogen monoxide production inhibitor including caffeoyl glucose as the effective ingredient.
