The light source (1) has a housing comprising an outer side facing an inner space (14). The housing is provided with two electrical feedthrough contacts (15) between the inner space and the outer side for electrical connections of a lamp (20) i.e. LED. The electrical feedthrough contacts are electrically and hermitically connected with the housing by insulation made of glass or ceramic. A thermal connection part of the lamp is thermal conductively connected with the housing such that operating temperature of the lamp is derivable to the outer side of the housing.
