The present invention provides a signal interaction method and device based on a remote presentation system. The method comprises: an MCU or a remote presentation terminal receiving a capability set message constructed by a remote end, the capability set message carrying correspondence between all media supported by the remote end and location information; the MCU or remote presentation terminal performing capability interaction with the remote end according to the location information of the media supported by the MCU or remote presentation terminal and the received correspondence; and the MCU or the remote presentation terminal and the remote end turning on a logical channel corresponding to the location information of the common capability obtained through interaction, respectively. Through the technical solutions provided in the present invention, the control of a remote presentation terminal can be simplified, and the convergence of a remote presentation system and conventional video conferencing is implemented.
