<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a video display device and a color correction method for the same. <P>SOLUTION: A video display device includes: a display unit displaying video in response to a video signal; a sensor unit measuring the spectrum of external light entering the display unit; and a correction signal provision unit measuring the adaptation primary color spectrum observed by a viewer by utilizing the spectral reflectance of the display unit, the maximal primary color spectrum of the display unit, and the spectrum of the external light, and providing a correction signal for correcting the video signal in accordance with the adaptation primary color spectrum. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
