<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable encode processing to be executed in parallel by using a general encoder so as not to destroy a virtual decoder buffer. <P>SOLUTION: Input image data is divided in picture units to separate it into the same number of image data as the number of encoders. Then, the separated plural image data respectively are encoded in plural encoders by intra-screen compression. After that, the plural image data which have respectively been encoded by the plural encoders are combined to generate combined image data, in which case a header containing frame_num information is detected from the combined image data thus combined on the basis of separation information, and frame_num of the detected header is corrected to generate final output image data. At this time, the level of a virtual buffer for the combined image data is also corrected to ensure that the virtual buffer will not be destroyed. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
