COMPOSITION AND METHOD FOR INHIBITION OF JAK PATHWAY

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide compounds and methods in the treatment of conditions in which inhibition of JAK kinases, particularly JAK3, a family of cytoplasmic protein tyrosine kinases or modulation of the JAK pathway can be therapeutically useful.

SOLUTION: A pharmaceutical composition for inhibiting the activity of JAK kinase contains 5-Fluoro-N2-(4-methyl-3-propionylaminosulfonylphenyl)-N4-[4-(prop-2-ynyloxy)phenyl]-2,4-pyrimidinediamine or a solvate or pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof.
