PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an information display control apparatus employing IPTV services for displaying video content data distributed by IPTV services, respectively, and associated information items thereof synchronously in desired timing, a display information providing server, an information display control method, an information distribution method, an information display control program, and an information distribution program.

SOLUTION: Video content data distributed by IPTV services and distribution data are acquired. To the distribution data, a predefined control character is added for indicating the presence of associated information to be displayed synchronously with the video content data. The distribution data are comprised of identification information identifying the associated information and closed caption data containing display time information of the associated information. If the control character is contained in the distribution data, corresponding associated information is acquired and displayed on the basis of the display time information. Thus, the video content data and the associated information can be displayed synchronously.
