<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a refrigerator with an infrared sensor that is designed to improve the accuracy of detecting the infrared sensor, and enhance the reliability thereof. <P>SOLUTION: The refrigerator includes an infrared mounting case 47 for receiving the infrared sensor. The infrared mounting case 47 is buried in a recess on a heat insulating partition, provided with a light condensing opening 51 having a through-port 50, arranged to surround an infrared ray condensing member 48 for heat insulating function, and provided with a protrusion 52 around the light condensing opening 51 of the infrared mounting case 47 which is other member than the infrared ray condensing member 48.
