The invention relates to, inter alia, a converter arrangement (10) having at least one AC voltage connection (W10), at which an alternating current can be fed in or drawn, and at least one DC voltage connection (G10a, G10b), at which a direct current can be fed in or drawn, wherein the converter arrangement comprises at least two series circuits (R1, R2, R3) connected in parallel, the external connections (R11, R21, R31, R12, R22, R32) of said series circuits forming DC voltage connections (G10a, G10b) of the converter arrangement, and wherein each of the series circuits connected in parallel comprises in each case at least two submodules (T) connected in series, each of said submodules comprising at least two switches (S) and a capacitor (C). The invention provides for an energy store to be connected to the capacitor of at least one of the submodules, wherein a filter is connected electrically between the capacitor and the energy store.
