PREPARATION OF A PLANT EXTRACT USING MICROWAVES

The present invention relates to a method for preparing a plant extract from a whole plant or part of a plant, including the following steps: (a) placing the whole plant or part of the plant in a container (1) that is connected to a cooler (2) by means of a connector (3), the cooler (2) being mounted on a collecting container (4) for collecting the plant extract, the whole of said elements being accommodated inside the chamber of a microwave oven (5); (b) exposing the plant or a part of the plant to microwaves in such a manner as to distill the plant extract; and (c) recovering the condensed plant extract in the collecting container (4). The invention further relates to a device for implementing such a method.
