<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To perform color shift adjustment processing securing print productivity without deteriorating accuracy of color shift adjustment. <P>SOLUTION: A flow of Fig. 4 is applied to each page image formed sequentially on an image carrier in response to a print request to form images of a plurality of pages. After drawing performed in normal printing (S201, 202), a pattern for shift adjustment is formed, and the pattern for shift adjustment formed on the image carrier is read out (S204-206). By performing the flow, data for shift correction can be obtained between page images without changing operation of normal printing, and a shift correction value calculated on the basis of the obtained data can be reflected in drawing control (S208, 209). <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
