<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a biological activity measuring device capable of easily estimating a quantity of microorganisms in a short time by measuring a metabolic activity or a proliferating activity of microorganism cells principled by detecting the metabolic heat of the biological cells. <P>SOLUTION: A sample including the biological cells and a sample not including the biological cells are introduced into an insulation box 10, thereafter the measured voltages of a sensor S showing the temperature difference of them are repeatedly obtained, a coefficient of Newton's thermoconductive equation is calculated by a regression analysis method based on data of an obtained series of measured voltage and data of measuring times, a predictive value of a measured voltage after a sufficient time passes is calculated based on the calculated coefficient. Thereby, the amount of the microorganisms in the sample can be estimated in a very early stage when not yet reaching thermal balance from introducing into the insulation box 10. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
